U.S. Consulate Winnipeg wants to thank U.S. author Hamse Warfa for visiting with us, the Somali community in Winnipeg and Manitobans from all walks of life last week. Hamse carried a dynamic and important message about the Somali diaspora in both Canada and the United States as well as his experiences, good and bad, with being an immigrant to the United States. Hamse’s visit prompted tough questions and meaningful dialogue and we can’t thank him enough for his visit.
We here in the Consulate want to have more discussions like this with the people of Manitoba. Please reach out to us if you have an issue or a concern you would like us to address with a future visitor.
