Please note the Consular Officer may request additional documents based on their review of the application.

If you have previously been issued an E-2 investor visa, you are applying under the same company for which your previous visa was issued, and you would like to renew this visa, please provide the following documentation to evisacanada@state.gov:

Interview Waiver Program

For renewal applicants that are also renewing the registration for the same company, please follow the steps listed under “How to apply for an E-visa in Canada?” After a review of the submitted application, applicants will be notified if they qualify for an interview waiver and will be provided with additional instructions. If the applicant is not eligible for an interview waiver, they will receive no notification of the fact. Any correspondence sent by applicants asking for an interview waiver in these cases will receive no response. Please note that consular officers reserve the right to require an interview for any visa application at any point in the process.

For applicants renewing their visa with a company with a valid registration with the U.S. Consulate General Toronto, please reference the page on Supporting Documentation for Employees of Registered Companies for information on potential interview waiver self-identification.

For New Cases

If you have received an E-visa before, but this is the first time you are applying for an E-visa in conjunction with your current company, please submit the required documents enumerated on the Supporting Documentation for New Cases page.
