The United States wants to ensure international students know what is required to visit the United States. Those at Université de Montréal, HEC Montréal and Polytechnique Montréal recently got a chance to have their visa questions answered by two Consular officers. Students from different parts of the world were informed about different types of visas, the application process, requirements, and more. The presence of U.S. Consular officials who work on these issues every day really helped students know what to expect when they apply for a visa and how to avoid the common mistakes people make when applying.
We also made a short presentation on opportunities for internships at the Consulate and studying opportunities in the U.S. The EducationUSA website provides practical information on how to navigate the application process to U.S. colleges and universities, and how to apply for scholarships and financial aid to U.S. colleges and universities, and how to apply for scholarships and financial aid.
