Consulate General Vancouver and Commercial Service from Consulate General Calgary welcomed dozens of U.S. companies to GLOBE 2014, North America’s Largest International Forum on Business & the Environment.
Held biannually in Vancouver, GLOBE is at the forefront of new ideas and insights on business and sustainability, bringing thousands of environmental business leaders, corporate environmental managers, and sustainability practitioners together to explore the mutually inclusive goals of corporate sustainability, business growth, energy and climate change solutions and urban development.
The Commercial Service manned a large “American Pavilion” and hosted a breakfast for U.S. companies and presenters on “Doing Business in Canada,” which Consul General Anne Callaghan kicked off.
Speakers including Minister of Environment Mary Polak and representatives of the BC government and businesses spoke about opportunities for investment and expansion, with a focus on “clean and green.”
