United States Ambassador, Canadian Minister of Sport to Visit Naismith Museum

United States Ambassador to Canada Bruce A. Heyman and the Honorable Carla Qualtrough, Canada’s Minister of Sport and Persons with Disabilities, will visit the Naismith Museum on February 2 to explore Canada’s role — past, present, and future — in the history of basketball.

With the National Basketball Association (NBA) All-Star Game taking place in Toronto in less than two weeks, marking for the first time the game will be outside the United States, Ambassador Heyman and Minister Qualtrough will be joined by Michele O’Keefe, Canada Basketball’s President and Chief Executive Officer, to tour the museum dedicated to the inventor of basketball, Dr. James Naismith. After the tour, there will be a short media availability.
