U.S. Consulate General Toronto Hosts Tampa Bay-St.Petersburg Trade Mission

On October 20-21, U.S. Consulate General Toronto facilitated a number of meetings, including a roundtable discussion with the Mayor of Hamilton, a nearby business hub, on ideas for collaboration and trade promotion with Tampa Bay-St. Petersburg. The Tampa Bay Export Alliance organizers were joined by Tampa Mayor Bob Buckhorn, St. Petersburg Mayor Rick Kriseman, and business leaders for a three-day event to promote business development, specifically for film, energy, automotive, and aerospace industries. Canada is Tampa’s largest export market and is third in terms of foreign direct investment. Consul General Juan Alsace hosted a welcome reception for the Tampa Bay Trade and Business Development Mission to Canada at Casa Loma.
