On June 10, 2015, the U.S. and Canadian law enforcement officers carrying the Flame of Hope for Special Olympics, joined together on the Rainbow Bridge to light the cauldron signifying unity.

For the 29th year, law enforcement officials carried the Special Olympics Flame of Hope throughout various communities raising funds and awareness for Special Olympics.

As a big supporter of this cause, the Buffalo Border Patrol set up the event to include officers and agents running from both sides of the border ending up in the middle of the bridge.
