Security Message for U.S. Citizens in Quebec City: Planned Demonstration November 25

The U.S. Consulate General informs U.S. citizens a demonstration is expected to take place in downtown Quebec on Saturday, November 25, between 11:00 and 15:00.  Local media has reported an anticipated a large crowd.

Even demonstrations intended to be peaceful can turn confrontational and escalate into violence. You should avoid areas of demonstrations, and exercise caution if in the vicinity of any large gatherings, protests, or demonstrations.
