Security Message for U.S. Citizens: Planned Demonstration in Montreal

The U.S. Consulate General informs U.S. citizens that a demonstration is expected to take place at the U.S. Consulate General on Monday, January 30, 2017  between 12:00 and 14:00.
Local police will monitor the event.  Even demonstrations intended to be peaceful can turn confrontational and escalate into violence. You should avoid areas of demonstrations, and exercise caution if in the vicinity of any large gatherings, protests, or demonstrations.
