PTSD Speaker Dr. Hayden Duggan in Toronto

On November 28-29, the U.S. Consulate General in Toronto hosted a two-day program with U.S. speaker expert Dr. Hayden Duggan to discuss and draw attention to Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and trauma, combat, and stress-related mental health issues, including vicarious trauma, among police, social service providers, medical and military communities across the city of Toronto. During his time here, Dr. Duggan presented at the Canadian Forces College, the City of Toronto, the Toronto Rehabilitation Institute and the Toronto Police College in partnership with the following institutions: the Ontario Association of Chiefs of Police, the Public Services Health & Safety Association, the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health, and Mount Sinai Hospital. A Harvard Education Psychiatrist with over twenty years of treating PTSD, Dr. Duggan is the President and Founder of the On-Site Academy in Gardner, Massachusetts, a residential trauma treatment and training program for Military and Public Safety Personnel.
