Performing “Life in a Jar”

Students at Citadel High School in Halifax watch a performance of Life in a Jar.

In November, as part of Holocaust Education Week, U.S. Consulate Halifax helped sponsor several performances in Halifax of Life in a Jar: The Irena Sendler Story. This play, developed by a group of three high school students in Kansas, depicts the story of Irena Sendler who helped 2500 Jewish children and adults escape from the Warsaw ghetto during the Second World War. The play has been performed hundreds of times throughout North America and Europe.
