Location: Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo / Fort McMurray

Event:  The Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo, Alberta has issued evacuation orders for various areas, including parts of Fort McMurray, due to flooding from restricted water flows and ice breakage.

Actions to Take: 

  •   Be aware of flooding and follow guidance from local authorities.
  •  Monitor municipality updates on the river breakup.
  •  Avoid travel to affected areas.
