Independence Day at the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic

Consul General Riley, Nova Scotia Lieutenant Governor J.J. Grant, and politicians from every level of government came together for a photo in support of Scott Jones’ Don’t Be Afraid Campaign.

On July 2 the U.S. Consulate Halifax held an early Independence Day celebration at the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic. Consul General Riley and his wife Cheryl Wong greeted several hundred guests who joined us from across Atlantic Canada for a lovely evening on the Halifax waterfront. In his remarks Mr. Riley noted the warmth and generosity of the people of Atlantic Canada and highlighted the social justice campaigns on both sides of the border. In particular Mr. Riley spoke about the Don’t Be Afraid campaign organized by our guest, Scott Jones.

Guests gather to listen to Halifax Consul General Riley's remarks.
