CG VanKoughnett attended a ceremony at Laval University granting Dr. Michael Porter, of the Harvard Business School, an honorary doctorate for his work in economic theory and business competitiveness.
Dr. Porter’s career as a professor and researcher at the Harvard Business School has focused on the application of economic theory and strategy concepts to major issues facing businesses and nations, such as competitiveness, economic development, environmental protection, corporate social responsibility, philanthropy, innovation, and health care.
Dr. Porter is the author of 19 books and over 125 scholarly articles. He is one of the most cited authors in the fields of economy and business. He has received the McKinsey Award from the Harvard Business Review for the best article of the year six times, as well as and numerous other prestigious awards and prizes.
