Harvard graduates from decades ago to future students heading there this fall gathered for a talk recently at the U.S. Consul General to Toronto, Jim Dickmeyer’s residence.

The event was coordinated by local Harvard Kennedy School alumni and featured a discussion led by a recent graduate. Karim Bardeesy, MPP’08, addressed the two dozen attendants on the topic of public policy, focusing on governments’ roles, trends and new issues. He spoke about the provincial government in Ontario’s engagement with the public when it comes to dealing with healthcare, transit and pensions. Currently Bardeesy is the executive director of policy at the Office of the Premier of Ontario.

The evening also provided a chance for future students of the Harvard Kennedy School to talk to graduates of the world-renown educational institute. For more information on the school, check here. And to learn more about the Harvard Club of Toronto check here.
