On June 26th Acting Principal Officer Scott Whitmore and his wife Hazira Whitmore welcomed a large gathering of Atlantic Canadians to the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic to celebrate Independence Day a few days early. Mr. Whitmore, who is leaving Halifax after three years as Consul, reflected on his time in Atlantic Canada and said it was a wonderful posting for he and his family. The evening was a lovely opportunity for old and new friends to mingle on the Halifax waterfront on a lovely summer evening.
