Former NASA Astronaut, Dr. Mary Ellen Weber visited Halifax and Truro, NS from May 14-18. She spoke to hundreds of students from grade primary to grade 12, teachers, guidance counsellors and, at one school, where she was visiting on “grandparents” day, she met lots of grandparents.
All who met her were fascinated by her descriptions of her shuttle missions and moved by her passion for encouraging young people to pursue a future in science and technology.
