The Commercial Service of the United States Embassy in Ottawa will host a workshop in Ogdensburg, New York on October 7, 2015 for Canadian companies that are interested in exploring business expansion opportunities in the U.S. market. Ogdensburg is just 50 minutes from Ottawa and provides a convenient nearby location for Canadian firms that want to open a U.S. operation.
This workshop will include presentations on such topics as: Establishing a U.S. Corporation; Work Visas; Tax Implications for Canadian Firms; and Incentives for Business Expansion Projects. There will also be a discussion outlining the Beyond-The-Border Initiative between the United States and Canada presented by the Department of Homeland Security, as well as a luncheon and tour of Commerce Park in Ogdensburg.
Sponsors include the Ogdensburg Bridge and Port Authority, the St. Lawrence County Industrial Development Agency, National Grid and the American Chamber of Commerce in Canada.
The United States has a market of over 300 million consumers with enormous opportunities for every company from start-ups to medium-sized enterprises and multinationals. This workshop will provide excellent information to help Canadian firms access business opportunities; open a U.S. operation; and increase your company’s volume of business in New York and throughout the United States.
