The Consulate provides only emergency assistance to Americans in distress; we do not provide full consular services. Manitoba-related consular matters such as visas, passports, and notarials will continue to be handled at other U.S. Consulates General, primarily Calgary.

In case of emergency, please contact the Calgary Consulate. Officials there may refer the matter to Winnipeg, on a case-by-case basis.

American citizens whose passport applications are required to be made in person should visit either the Calgary Consulate or the most conveniently located Passport Acceptance Facility near the border with Canada.

The Consulate does not offer Visa services.

Notarial services are not available at the Consulate in Winnipeg, however most lawyers in the U.S. do offer these services and would be able to help.
