Consul General Allison Areias-Vogel

Allison Areias-Vogel joined the U.S. Foreign Service in January 2001 after a prior career as a federal marine wildlife attorney in Washington D.C. During her overseas tours with the State Department, she worked on consular and economic issues in Vietnam, resettlement of refugees in Afghanistan, and U.S. economic policy and commercial interests in France and Sri Lanka. Her domestic assignments include protecting U.S. intellectual property rights in Asia, as well as serving in the State Department’s Executive Secretariat, supporting Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice.
