System for Award Management (SAM)

The System for Award Management (SAM) is an official website of the U.S. Government. There is no cost to use SAM. You can use the SAM website for FREE to:

  • Register to do business with the U.S. Government
  • Update or renew your entity registration
  • Check status of an entity registration
  • Search for entity registration and exclusion records

All contractors must be registered in the SAM Database prior to contract award pursuant to FAR provision 5.204-7.  Therefore prospective offerors are encouraged to register prior to the submittal of quotations/proposals. The guidelines for registration in SAM are available at the following links:

Important Notice

Be cautious if you receive an email from a company claiming to represent SAM.gov or offering to help you register in SAM.gov asking you to contact them and pay them money.  These messages are not from the Federal Government.  It is FREE to register in SAM.gov for any entity.

The U. S. Consulate in Calgary is Solicitation for Quotes from reliable contractors for improving the overall aspect and functionality of the lunchroom.

This work will include the removal of existing cabinets.  The improvement work will require the following:

Installation of new hanging and floor cabinets on the South wall, adding an extension of the new cabinets over the fridge for extra storage space.  the quote should also include costs for a new faucet equipped with a water filter for both hot and cold water and a sink.  Finally, this should also include floor cabinets on the north wall with open shelves on both sides. Provision for painting the entire room, as well as for backsplash are expected as well.

Consulate Lunchroom Remodeling work – Scope of Work

U.S. Consulate General in Toronto would like to receive quotes from interested and reliable contractors for supply and installation of an audio and video system for an interview room at 360 University Avenue, downtown Toronto.

The system should be able to record the interview in the interview room to the DVR and monitor system and have the ability to record to a DVD.   The camera would be in the main interview room, and the recording equipment and monitor would be next door.   We may have to get headphones for the system, as the interview room is not 100% soundproof.

The U.S. Embassy located in Ottawa, Canada requires a retrofit of its Building Automation System (BAS).  The Contractor will be required to perform BAS retrofit Services as described in this Statement of Work. The retrofit is required to go from obsolete to latest standard of Building Automation System.

The U.S. Consulate General – Toronto is seeking Requests for Quotations (RFQ) from reliable asphalt paving companies.  The Contractor shall remove existing asphalt and dispose of offsite, fine grade existing base (up 150mm of granular), supply and place asphalt, remove old and install new bumper curbs, repair catch basins, and paint lines. Proposal will include costs for all labor, materials, supervision, and permits. The Government will pay the Contractor the fixed price for the contract.
