Location: Please be aware that on Thursday, September 13, 2018, a demonstration organized by the employees of the Société de transport de Montréal (STM) is scheduled to take place in Montreal between 3:00pm and 5:00pm.  Demonstrators will be gathering in front of Place Bonaventure on de La Gauchetière Street.

Due to the demonstration, road closures and/or alternate traffic patterns will likely affect traffic in the downtown Montreal area. In addition, surrounding areas may experience traffic delays.

Actions to Take:

  • Avoid the areas of the demonstrations.
  • Exercise caution if unexpectedly in the vicinity of large gatherings or protests.
  • Monitor local media for updates
  • Keep a low profile.
