‘Youth Radicalization: Policy & Education Response’ conference was co-hosted by Midaynta Community Services, @OISE/University of Toronto and the US Consulate Toronto on February 12-13, 2015 in Toronto. The conference brought youth organizations, parents, community organizations, educators, faith communities, religious leaders, government policymakers and implementers as well as the law enforcement agencies of Canada, the U.S. and several foreign countries together to explore ways to address Muslim and other youth radicalization through presentations and discussions. The event featured keynote speaker the Hon. Tracy MacCharles, Ontario’s Minister of Children and Youth Services.

The two-day conference aimed to deepen an understanding of youth radicalization, open dialogue to rethink and improve approaches to youth radicalization, build broad networks interested in collaborating on responses to the issue and recommend a range of programs and projects to address it.
