Consul General Richard Riley was pleased to address the large crowd gathered at Canadian Forces Base Halifax to mark the Canadian Military’s celebration of the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination. The first time the event has been held outside of Military Headquarters in Ottawa, the event was also addressed by Dr. Don Julien and Dr. Wanda Thomas Bernard local community leaders who have been working on issues of racial discrimination for many years. Many ethnicities were represented at the fair through cultural displays and performances.
