This year’s successful 10th anniversary Southeastern United States-Canadian Provinces (SEUS-CP) annual conference was hosted in Toronto by the Ontario Government on June 4-6. Chargé d’Affaires Elizabeth Aubin delivered remarks at the conference and participated in several meetings, including meetings with Agriculture Secretary Perdue, Canadian Agriculture Minister Lawrence MacAulay and Ontario Premier Kathleen Wynne. The conference focused on the future of the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) and how it should be modernized. “Our relationship is about small, medium, and large companies doing business in both countries”, Chargé d’Affaires Aubin said during her remarks. “SEUS-CP is another example of a bridge that connects our great countries through collaboration and business.” Chargé d’Affaires Aubin also joined Secretary Perdue at a TasteUS food promotion event organized by the Foreign Agricultural Service. The event launched a two-week menu promotion at one of Toronto’s landmark restaurants, the Marché, which highlighted the usage and consumption of U.S. grown and processed products among Canadian consumers and trade.
