Consul General Juan Alsace was invited by Community Centre 55 at the Woodbine Park Millenium Garden to join in honoring and remembering those we lost in the tragic events of 9/11 on September 11, 2015.

Joining the Consul General in speaking at the ceremony was M.P. Matthew Kellway, M.P.P. Arthur Potts, and Community Centre Chair Jason Balgopal. Toronto Fire, Police, and Paramedic Services were also on hand.

This was the 14th edition of the ceremony that has been organized by the Community Centre, with a great deal of help from Toronto Emergency Services. The overarching theme from all the speakers was that, although what occurred was heartbreaking, true greatness was shown by those who bonded together to help and aid those in need. This was a time of reflection and remembrance, honoring those who perished on that fateful day in September 2001.
