U.S. Ambassador to Canada Bruce Heyman wishes to release the following statement on the occasion of Canada Day:
“On the 147th anniversary of your Confederation, Vicki and I want to wish all of Canada a very happy Canada Day.
“The closeness of our national holidays reflects the nature of our countries’ relationship. Each year, it affords us a special opportunity to remember the values we each hold dear: good government, liberty, peace, and freedom for all.
“Today, we join you in celebrating your Day, your beautiful country, and all Canadians. From the entirety of the U.S. Mission to Canada, from sea to sea to sea, we all wish you all a Happy Canada Day!”
