
Ambassador Heyman and Vicki Heyman joined the AmCham Canada’s Annual U.S. Thanksgiving celebration of on Monday, November 17th at the National Club. Mrs. Vicki Heyman welcomed more than 100 guests of this dinner reception with a speech.
Noting that Thanksgiving provides the opportunity to give back, Mrs. Heyman mentioned Canadian changemakers such as We Day and Free The Children, TIFF and Hot Docs, True Patriot Love Foundation, Ashoka Canada highlighting the mutual initiatives implemented together in her keynote address. “Positive change know no border and needs no passport,” said Vicki Heyman. “As individuals and as countries, we work together for action, because we know there are so many things we can do better together. “ She also noted that “Service is a hallmark of our two countries, and we both do it very well. The United States and Canada share the same traits of generosity, idealism, a belief that our choices can lead to astonishing outcomes… and have the opportunity to tackle very real challenges facing our world.” More information about initiatives supported by Vicki Heyman is available here.
