United States Ambassador to Canada Bruce Heyman delivered the keynote address last night at the Ottawa Food Bank’s Annual General Meeting.
Speaking to an audience comprised of the Food Bank’s Board of Directors, staff and volunteers, as well as numerous community stakeholders, Ambassador Heyman’s remarks touched on the importance of community involvement, as well as President Obama’s call for Americans to serve and get involved in their communities.
The U.S. Embassy in Ottawa has a history of partnering with the Ottawa Food Bank to help those in need. Most recently, in October 2014, the Embassy held a food drive so that its employees could help give back to the city they call home.
