A message from U.S. Ambassador to Canada Kelly Craft on the occasion of Canada Day 2019
Over the past year and a half, Joe and I have come to know Canadians as exceptionally kind, determined, and patriotic people. It is an honor to serve as the U.S. Ambassador to this beautiful country and work to strengthen our bonds as friends, partners, and allies.
This past year we accomplished much together. We negotiated a new, state-of-the-art trade deal. We celebrated the arrival of a new era of U.S.-Canada space cooperation with Canada becoming NASA’s first international partner on the Lunar Gateway Program. And we took a strong, united stand in support of a free and democratic Venezuela, and we continue to work together to advance freedom and liberty in the hemisphere. I am very optimistic that the coming year will bring our countries even closer.
I wish Canadians a very happy Canada Day. Americans are so fortunate to have neighbors like you.
