U.S. Consul General Richard Riley travelled to St. John’s, Newfoundland to host a July 4 reception aboard USCGC Eagle. Eagle’s trip into St. John’s harbor was spectacular as it bypassed several icebergs! The reception was a wonderful opportunity to bring together many of the Consulate’s contacts and friends in Newfoundland. In his remarks CG Riley expressed his deep appreciation for the unique culture of Newfoundland and Labrador and the history of cooperation between the United States and Newfoundland and Labrador in conflicts around the world.
